Prayer of the Day (In Unison)

Holy God, Grant us the gift of dreaming: The dream of a world enjoying its extraordinary colour and beauty; not viewing life through tunnel-vision, grey-tinted spectacles. The dream of breadth and variety in glorious harmony; not definition through division, prejudice and ignorance. The dream of acceptance and inclusion; not judgement and exclusion. The dream of your love and humour; not our idolatry and self-righteousness. The dream of ‘we might’; not ‘we can not’. God give us the vision and imagination to dream and enable us to make the dream a reality. We come now into the silence of this place with gratitude for this day. We come with our needs. And we come because we have gifts to share. In our coming and in our going may we be strengthened in our bonds of love and peace. Amen.

Our God

Verse 1

Water You turned into wine
Opened the eyes of the blind
There’s no one like You
None like You

Verse 2

Into the darkness You shine
Out of the ashes we rise
There’s no one like You
None like You

Our God is greater
Our God is stronger
God You are higher than any other
Our God is healer
Awesome in power our God our God

And if our God is for us
Then who could ever stop us
And if our God is with us
Then what could stand against
And if our God is for us
Then who could ever stop us
And if our God is with us
Then what could stand against
(Then) what could stand against

Morning Song

Verse 1

Night turns to morning
You have been waiting
Whispering to me
Gently I’m waking

Verse 2

It’s the dawn of a new day
You’ve painted for me
Colors exploding
Telling our story

I’m waking up I’m waking up
I’m waking up I’m waking up

I can feel the rising of the sun
Mercy sings me the promise of Your love
I’m reminded of how far we’ve come
You’re the one that my heart is beating for

My heart is beating for
My heart is beating for
It’s beating for

In Christ Alone

Verse 1

In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light my strength my song
This Cornerstone this solid Ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love what depths of peace
When fears are stilled when strivings cease
My Comforter my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand

Verse 2

In Christ alone who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
Till on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live

Verse 3

There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ

Verse 4

No guilt in life no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life’s first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand

A Good Word
